Top 5 drugstore foundations.

I've recently been experimenting with different foundations from the drugstores. My skin is a combination, but more dry, so I tend to go with the dewy finish.
1.

Pros: Buildable. Dewy finish. coverage is good. SPF 15. good packaging.
Cons: Not a variety of colours. Too dark for the winter for my skin tone

Again another rimmel product, and also another favourite of mine.
Pros: Covers most of my imperfections. Not too heavy. Dewy finish. Not cakey. Easy to apply.
Cons: Hard to build up without looking heavy.

A light foundation good for when your skin is looking on the better side. It almost acts like a BB cream.
Pros: evens out skin tones. Nice colours. Easily blended. Refreshing look to the face
Cons: Not for when you have a break out of spots!

This gives a matte finish and is a little different to what I usually go for, but still I like it and I its good enough to go into my top 5.
Pros: Good coverage. Natural. A variety of colours to find your 'True Match'.
Cons: Found it a bit patchy on occasion. Came off easily if I did not powder.

This is a BB cream, but I liked it so much that I think its worth putting it in the blog post.
Pros: Hydrating. SPF 30. non greasy. evens out skin tone. Smoother skin. A radiant glow.
Cons: does not cover imperfections like a foundation, because its BB cream. (not really a good enough reason!)

I recommend all of these foundations if you have combination skin! These are some of the best I found worked for me.
These are my own opinions and in no way am I getting payed to say this. and remember I am not guaranteeing that these are going to work for you as I only tried them out and I'm just recommending them!

3 easy hairstyles for bad hair days

I'm used to always having greasy horrible hair, so with all this experience I've managed to gather up a few good hairstyles for bad hair days. (More like bad hair life!)

Vanessa Hudgens showing off the fish tail braid.
The first hairstyle I've really been enjoying recently is is the 'Fishtail' braid.

Depending on which way you want it (to the side or at the back) Gather all of your hair and split it into two sections.

Pull one strand of hair from one side and cross it over to the other, and do the same on the other side.

Carry on doing this and you'll eventually see the braid coming along.

Tips: Try to keep each strand the same thickness.
Every so often, tighten up the braid.
To go for a messier look pull the hair a little from the sides to create a loser layed back look!

Another hair style is simple waves.

1.All you need to do is wash your hair and wait until it's 90% dry
2.Braid it normally
3.Tie off the ends, depending on how thick your hair is, you can have a different amount of braids. If you have coarse hair then 2 or 3 braids would be sensible!
4. The next morning take the braid out and voila!
Tips: It also works on dry hair, but not as well, for better looking results make sure to spritz it with some water a tiny bit!

Messy Top knot!
one of the most popular hairstyles for bad hair days!

Have your hair 1 or 2 days old from your last wash. (it's okay if it's older or just out of the wash, but I find it works better.)

1.Turn your hair upside down and start pulling it back like you would with a high pony tail.
2.Grab a hair tie and start creating a rough bun shape on the top of your head and tie round it with your elastic. (It may look a bit weird at the moment)
3.Grab another hair band and mould your hair into the shape you want and tie the hair band around it
4.Finally to secure it add bobby pins where needed.
5.To create a messy look pull out bits of hair and pull the hair just slightly to create more volume.
Tips: Take your fringe/bangs out of the bun before tying it up if you like.
Wash your hair roughly 1-2 days before creating this look.
Before hand add some texturising spray to add more volume.
You could add a head band or a little ribbon around your head to add a little something to the bun!

Save space in your makeup bag/draw! (Lipstick)

Firstly, I'd like to apologize that I haven't been on here for so long!
I'd been busy with a few things, but now i'm back, so don't worry!

This is how to save some space in your makeup bag or draw!
What you'll need:

  • A small pot
  • Your unwanted/normal Lipstick.
  • Candle
  • Lighter (To light the candle)
  • and a spoon.
  • A knife (Optional)

For example, I am using a Natural collection lipstick. (To tell the truth I don't like it and I bought ages ago, so I thought I'd give this ago with it, but now I love this idea and I am using it with some of my favourite lipsticks!)
Step one:

Break off the lipstick. If you like you can use a knife to get the rest out from inside the tube!

Step two:
Light your candle!

Step 3
Get your spoon and pop the lipstick on top of the candle. and slowly wait for it too melt!

Waiting..

Still waiting...
.... and done!

Step four:
Pour it into the mini pot.

Step 5:
Wait for it to dry..

Step 6:
Screw the lid on and throw it in your handbag! (Or draw or makeupbag!)

Random

I'll have things on this sometime soon, meanwhile.. Check out the rest of my blog and follow me for a follow back :)
Comment on the other things also and request what you want me to review or post on my blog :)

Information

I review things on my blog and I say what I think about them, I am NOT being payed to review things and say good things about them, if I get sent something to review, it'll be 100% honest opinion.
Sometime I have things at home that could be reviewed, but are so bad I don't bother!
I tend to just review the better things, but if I am going review something that has been requested or sent to me, i'll be truthful about it!
Just letting you know so you can trust my opinion on things.

Pictures

I'll upload these soon, i'm not too sure what i'll take pictures of.. hhmmmm

Top Shop Lipstick review!

The other month, I purchased Topshop lipstick for £8 each. I got 'Mexican Wave' - A bright orangey redish colour. and 'Lengend' - A bright dark pinky colour.. I don't know how to explain it..

I can't find the link on the website! Have they stopped doing them? :(
The camera hasn't quite picked up the true colour of these, but they are near enough!
I'd never really tried out Top Shop makeup when I bought these, but now i'm a little bit obsessed!
The Lipsticks really moisturize your lips when you put them on and just feel so nice!
I thought that £8 was quite alot of money just for a clothing store lipstick, but it turns out it really is worth it!
I now have other colours, but they are currenly at someone elses house, but they are: Whimsical £8 and Nevada - £8
If you are looking for a middle priced Lipstick that is a long lasting and great quality Lipstick, then I reccomend these!
MY ONLY PROBLEM!
The packaging gets dirty in my make up bag, so it doesn't stay all nice and pretty forever, but the product does, don't worry!
